As I have gotten older I have come to realize that Life is much like music.  It has its parts, it goes through its themes, and it is performed in real-time.  And, just as in music; sometimes the darkest parts are the ones that add the most definition to the piece.  The shadows are what make the image.

Undoubtedly, I have been shaped by all the shadows of my past, and they have made me into the image that I am today.  Learning to embrace them is the hard part.  It helps knowing that the most dramatic pictures are the ones with the most contrast.
